CONFERENCE: Social-ecological resilience through institutional diversity

This month I attended a workshop with Peter Jones, who researches institutional governance of marine protected areas.

While the work doesn't relate directly to my research on domestic solar energy, I found there were definitely parallels between the way marine protected areas are governed and the way people respond to solar incentives programs. In particular, and this might not seem like rocket science but it seems to be overlooked by many developing policy, the success of policies implemented to support both marine protected areas and solar systems are dependent on how different stakeholders respond to stimulus.

You can read more about the presentation and links with my research at my blog post here.
